Data Retention

• Booking details (your name, address, phone, email, property info): retained for up to 7 years after the inspection so I can answer follow-up questions and meet professional record-keeping standards.
• Inspection reports: retained for 7 years to match Alberta professional liability and record-keeping norms.
• Website analytics data (Google Analytics / Tag Manager): retained for the default 14 months, then anonymised or deleted by Google.
• Email correspondence: retained for up to 7 years for customer-service continuity, then permanently deleted.

When personal information is no longer needed, I delete it securely. You can request earlier deletion at any time; I'll comply unless retention is required by law.

Breach Notification

If a data breach involving your personal information is likely to create a real risk of significant harm to you, I will notify you as soon as feasible and report the breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as required by PIPEDA's mandatory breach reporting rules. Most of the data I collect is stored in Canada (your booking details in my own records, email correspondence on Canadian-hosted email).
