When you book an inspection with us, we need some basic details:

- The address of the property we’re inspecting
- Any special requests or concerns you have about the property
We also collect information about the property itself during the inspection, including photos and notes about what we find.
How do we use your information?
Pretty straightforward – we use your information to:
- Schedule your inspection and show up at the right place
- Send you the inspection report within 24 hours
- Process your payment
- Answer any follow-up questions you might have
- Keep records as required by our professional licensing in Alberta
- Provide ongoing support and consultation after your inspection
We’re not in the business of marketing or selling your information to anyone. We’re home inspectors, not telemarketers!
Who do we share your information with?
Short answer: almost nobody. We might share your information only if:
- You specifically ask us to (like sending a copy of the report to your real estate agent)
- We’re legally required to (like if there’s a court order)
- We need professional advice from our lawyer or accountant (they’re bound by confidentiality too)
- Our business gets sold (though we’d let you know first)
How do we protect your information?
We keep your information secure by:
- Storing files in locked cabinets and password-protected computers
- Only letting authorized people access your information
- Securely destroying old records when we no longer need them
- Using secure payment processing for credit card transactions
- Following CAHPI (Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors) data protection standards
How long do we keep your information?
We keep inspection reports and related documents for 7 years – that’s standard practice in our industry and helps protect both of us if questions come up later. Payment records are kept for 3 years for tax purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask to see what information we have about you
- Request corrections if something’s wrong
- Ask us to delete your information (though we might need to keep some records for legal reasons)
- Complain to privacy authorities if you’re not happy with how we handle your information
